The Catalinas

The Catalinas have been a fixture in the Carolina beach music scene for nearly 50 years. A horn-driven band that sounds a little bit like a lighter version of Chicago, the Catalinas were formed in 1957, and had regional hits with "You Haven't the Right" in 1967 and the beach music anthem "Summertime's Calling Me" in 1975. Over 60 musicians have passed through the group's ranks during its long history.
