Dutch Utopia: American Artists in Holland, 1880-1914

Mark your calendars for this groundbreaking exhibition, opening this fall at the Jepson Center for the Arts! The first major exhibition to explore the little-known phenomenon of American artists working in Holland around the turn of the twentieth century, Dutch Utopia will travel to the Taft Museum of Art in Cincinnati, the Grand Rapids Art Museum, and the Singer Laren Museum in The Netherlands—after debuting at the Telfair in October 2009. Accompanying the show will be an exciting series of related programs and educational opportunities organized by the museum, including a daylong symposium of scholarly lectures and tours.

Dutch Utopia: American Artists in Holland, 1880-1914 is organized by the Telfair Museum of Art in partnership with the Singer Laren Museum, The Netherlands.
